The Children's Autism Foundation are seeking a new Treasurer and additional Trustees to join our Board.

The charitable sector is moving toward a more collaborative way of working.  This is an exciting time to join CAF as we embrace this evolution of our environment with new initiatives and deeper relationships in the Autism sector.

CAF was started in 2000 by a group of parents who couldn't find the help they needed and decided to do something about it.  Since then CAF has grown substantially, helping thousands of families affected by ASD, mostly for free.

Now we want to take CAF's holistic, family-centred services further.  We're committed to continuing to underpin this growth with a robust, diverse Board of Trustees.

We want people:
  • with experience as a not-for-profit Treasurer, or the skills and abilities to fulfill the repsonsibilities of that role
  • representing people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the families of children with ASD and the rich diversity of the Auckland population
  • with governance, professional and business skills
  • with passion, dedication and vision for how we can serve our membership well, in order to fulfill our Mission
Our time commitments are not onerous.  We have a monthly Board meeting in the evening, plus a few extra hours a month depending on time of year and Board activities.

The Treasurer role has additional financial responsibilities.  There will be opportunities for new Trustees to take other executive Trusteee roles.
